Early Goldenrod

Soldago juncea

Picture
Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soil in full sun. Tolerates poor, dry soils. Remove spent flower clusters to encourage additional bloom.  Lots of folks consider this native plant a weed, but it attracts bees and butterflies.

For a more detailed discussion of this plant, visit the Missouri Botanical Garden website.
