The following checklist of bird species that have been seen at Sandy Creek Park was originally developed by Kent Fiala, editor of The Chat (Carolina Bird Club www.carolinabirdclub.org).  Other local birders have since made recent additions.  If you would like to communicate sightings of new species to the park, send an email to Randy Neighburger (randyn@Duke.edu).

We welcome pictures of birds taken at Sandy Creek.   Send your photos with date and location to john.a.goebel@gmail.com
